Common questions

UCM’s role.
Your checks.

Does UCM record through this website?

No. This is a public information site. Recording, monitoring, processing, and file handling take place in the UCM Windows application and the institution’s approved environment.

Does a compatibility pass guarantee every lesson recording?

No. The no-license check is a bounded screen of the intended computer and devices. It supports planning, but does not replace an actual classroom test, longer-duration acceptance where required, or playback of the completed file.

Can scheduled recording wake a sleeping computer?

No. The Windows PC must remain signed in and awake with UCM running. If those conditions are not met, the session may be reported as missed and is not recorded afterward.

Does recording quality protection guarantee zero dropped frames?

No. UCM reduces non-essential preview and background work first when sustained CPU pressure is detected, while keeping the active segment’s recording settings unchanged. This reduces risk; completed-file playback remains required.

Are ASR, OCR, and AI processing automatic requirements?

No. They are optional workflows. ASR and OCR outputs require human review. AI-assisted drafts require explicit consent and use reviewed text and course information rather than uploading the course video itself.

Can NAS and YouTube uploads start automatically?

Yes, when configured within the agreed scope. Successfully finalized, approved recordings can enter a visible, retryable queue automatically. The institution supplies an authorized destination and controls credentials, access, retention, and YouTube visibility. The local source is retained.

Is the full operating manual available in English?

The detailed web manual is currently maintained in Traditional Chinese. Use the Traditional Chinese manual for step-by-step operation, and confirm the applicable product version and supported scope with your contact.
